Sort of hilarious to see the argument posed as Christie defending jobs.  What they are actually seeking to protect are politically connected "vassal-capitalists", who would get a piece of the action on each car sold. Any actual employment involved is incidental.

I'm not the hugest Musk fan in the world - for example I thought his "hyperloop" concept was a bunch of overblown, anti-transit bullshit. 

Just pointing out that the cited argument from the BWM salesman in the article is laughable on its face.
