Don't mind all the noise, that's just me popping some more corn. David Samson may be in some hot water:
The inquiry by Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara's office, which hadn't previously been disclosed, comes in addition to an investigation by federal prosecutors in New Jersey, who are investigating the bridge lane closures that caused five days of traffic in Fort Lee, N.J. New Jersey prosecutors are also looking into allegations by the Democratic mayor of Hoboken, N.J., that the Christie administration threatened to withhold federal money if she didn't approve a real-estate development for a Wolff & Samson client.
The scope of the investigation and whether it could grow to include other officials wasn't clear on Monday.Did I mention that Chris Christie will never be president?
UPDATED: Subpoena withdrawn for now, apparently in deference to the US Attorney for NJ. But Samson's not out of the woods.
