I enjoy reading the times but we should all stop kidding ourselves that it is anything approaching a "liberal" newspaper. It is the voice of a firmly entrenched, socially moderate establishment. Progressive on women's issues, gay rights, racism, religion . . .but hawkish on foreign policy and deferential to power.
