Nothing surprises me any more with rents and real estate prices in this area. But $8500/month in Gowanus? I'll believe it when I see it.
A new Gowanus luxury building boasting balconies, a roof deck and a part-time doorman will start renting apartments this weekend — and will cost up to $8,500 a month.The 51-unit building at 202 Eighth St., by Fourth Avenue, will offer studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms and three-bedrooms outfitted with sleek kitchens, plentiful windows and oak flooring, according to the development's website.
I suspect this is just a headline generator. And it worked.
