Interesting graphic from the Times.
Will be interesting to see what running LIRR into Grand Central and
MetroNorth into Penn will do to this map, if anything. (The gains to
commuters might largely be post-commuter train, e.g. shorter walk, no
need for additional subway ride)
But looking at the map like this what I think about is through
running. Imagine for a moment that NJ Transit, LIRR and Metro-North
were all managed as one interlocking agency with through running of
some trains.
