Police identify suspect in deadly Brooklyn crash that killed couple and newborn | 7online.com

Another horrible, horrible story.  Initial reporting had the suspect vehicle's speed at 60MPH. There is no excuse for that kind of recklessness on a city street.  And now it looks like the culprit is a convicted killer who was arrested for a DWI just last month

The NYPD have released the name of a suspect in the deadly Brooklyn accident that killed a couple and their newborn son.
Police are searching for 44-year-old Julio Acevedo in the deadly hit and run.
Acevedo served 10 years in state prison on a 1989 manslaughter conviction. Caused the death of a male victim by shooting him with a gun. He also has a recent driving while intoxicated arrest in February.
A baby boy delivered after his parents were killed in a hit-and-run accident in Williamsburg, Brooklyn died early Monday.
I'm continually amazed that with all the transit options available, yellow cabs, livery cars, dollar vans, etc. people will still choose to drive drunk in this town.
