Fulton Transit Center Nears Completion

These look like the cartoon people from an architect's rendering, don't they?
Fulton Street Transit Center.  It's taken so long it's hard to believe we're almost finished.  And since the change has been gradual most of the way, one can almost forget what a urine-soaked dungeon this station once was.  Broadway-Nassau was a depressing, oppressive place to pass through.  I'm cognizant of the point that this was a large investment without additional capacity.  There is, however, something to be said for added convenience and an improved rider experience.

What was once a miserable part of a commute will now be much more pleasant.  That's an intangible, but it's not without value.
