Pre-K Admissions for the 2013-14 School Year

We ought to have universal Pre-K.  In the meantime, the Pre-K admissions process has begun for 2013-2014.  Two more years and I'll be doing this myself for the greatest baby ever born.  From NYC Department of Education:

Children born in 2009 who live in New York City are eligible for free pre-kindergarten (pre-k) programs at public elementary schools and community-based organizations (CBOs). Here’s some additional information about how families can apply:

Public School Pre-K Programs - Apply between March 4 - April 5, 2013
Apply online or in-person at an enrollment office starting March 4
Admissions is not first-come, first-served

Community-Based Organization (CBO) Pre-K Programs - Ongoing application process
Contact CBOs directly to apply.  Admissions policies vary by CBO

2013-2014 Pre-K Directory and Flyer
The Pre-Kindergarten Directory is now available online, at Enrollment Offices and at public elementary schools with pre-k). The Directory will help families learn about the pre-k admissions process and program options available for their child(ren). The pre-k flyer is also available here.  Pre-K Information Sessions Families are invited to attend an information session where they can learn more about pre-k admissions for the 2013-2014 school year.
