R.I.P, Lawrence Walsh, Iran-Contra Prosecutor

R.I.P, Lawrence E. Walsh
Having read Firewall, I think  Lawrence Walsh could have been a lot more aggressive as a prosecutor, but he was generally as honest broker as you could expect a Republican appointed by Ed Meese to possibly be.

What you really take away from the book, besides the lesson that the rot we have today has been festering for twenty years, is that Bob Dole and Dick Cheney are total scumbags.  When I read the book about 10 years ago I already knew that about Cheney, but didn't yet appreciate that fact about Bob Dole.  Also helped round out my pre-existing contempt for Judge Laurence Silberman.

A worthwhile read, even though Walsh is a little dry.
